Abstract of the Presentation:

The presentation introduces the three main factors of weather, sunlight, moisture, and temperature, and the impact of each factor on materials.  We will look at various natural and laboratory weathering approaches used for determining material service life prediction.  Practical application examples will be shared.

About the Speaker:

As Japan and Southeast Asia Manager for Atlas Materials Testing, Craig Hazzard has worked with automotive OEM's, building materials, paints and coatings, plastics, and a variety of other materials companies to promote better understanding of natural and accelerated weathering techniques for service life prediction.

RUBBER PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS AND OPPORTUNITIES

With the economies of developing countries growing rapidly, there is a related demand for rubber goods and accordingly sourcing of products and strategic investments are necessary.

Presentations will be made by Mr Vinod Simon, President, All India Rubber Industry Association (AIRIA), The Board of Investment (BOI), Thailand and Malaysian Industrial Development Authority(MIDA). A forecast for the demand of automotive related products will be made by Mr Hajime Yamamoto of IHS Automotive, Thailand.
